Budd Upsets Nationally-Ranked At Las Vegas Invitational

Bulls complete first day in 22nd place, Scott alive in consolations

LAS VEGAS, NV - Senior 133-pounder Mark Budd (Orrville, OH/Orrville) took a sudden victory 3-1 win against nationally-fourth ranked Tyler McCormick of Missouri Friday night, advancing to the semifinals for the first time in his career. The upset over the All-American highlights the first day's events at the 25th annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, as the Bulls sit in 28th place with 22 points.

Redshirt freshman Ricky Scott (Walden, NY/Valley Central) is the other Bull still alive, as he will battle through the consolation round at 197 pounds.

More to follow at the conclusion of the invitational, which will resume at 12 p.m. (EST) with the championship finals slated for 7 p.m. (EST). Live results are available online at www.thewrestlingmall.com.
