CLEVELAND, OH - University at Buffalo freshman wrestler Mark McKnight (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) received the season's first Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week award for his efforts between November 17th and November 23rd. McKnight - who competes in the 125-pound weight class - posted three victories in that period, including one by fall.

In a dual meet against Binghamton last Tuesday, McKnight pinned Victor Destefano 4:03 into the match. On Saturday, McKnight posted a 17-4 major decision victory over Findlay's Andy Uhl and then followed that up with a 5-1 win over Brian Sellers of Bloomsburg in the afternoon match.

McKnight has an overall record of 7-1 on the season, including a 3-0 mark in dual meets. He leads Buffalo with 12 dual-meet takedowns.

The Bulls are 3-0 on the season and return to action at 9 am this Saturday at the Mat Town USA Invitational hosted by Lock Haven University.
