their 184-pound top-20 lists
BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo senior Mickey Moran has earned early accolades from two national polls as he is currently ranked among the top 20 184-pound wrestlers in the country. Moran is listed at number 19 in the latest 184-pound wrestler rankings according to Rev Wrestling and at number 20 in the USA Today/InterMat/NWCA Division I national individual rankings in the last reports released this week. This is Moran's first time to be named to either list. Moran is currently 9-1 overall this season and 4-1 in dual meet bouts. He won the 184-pound title at the season-opening UB Open and earned Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week honors following the meet. His lone loss came against Duke's John Barone, ranked 19th in the InterMat poll. In his career at UB, Moran is 74-44 overall and led the Bulls with a 32-10 record in 2007-08. The Bulls travel to Ithaca for Saturday's Body Bar Invitational at Cornell University. Among the nationally-ranked programs UB will be facing are No. 13 Boise State, MAC rival Kent State, ranked 25th, and the host Big Red, ranked fourth.
