Father of UB Wrestling, Robert E. Rich, Dies at Age 92BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo lost one of its greatest benefactors last Wednesday when Robert E. Rich, founder of Rich Products Corp., died at age 92. A three-year letterwinner with the football team, Rich was an avid supporter of UB athletics as it made the transition into Division I. Perhaps his greatest gift to the athletic program, though, was his dedication to wrestling, which was evidenced when he helped found the UB wrestling prgram, which he captained and coached in its inaugural year, 1934-35.
