Charlie Voorhees (Warsaw, NY/Warsaw) first won a 2-0 decision over American's Willie Harris, then posted a 2-1 win over John Starkes of Old Dominion. Voorhees, who wrestles at 125 pounds, is 15-11 this season.

Dave Guarino (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) moved to 18-7 on the season at 165 pounds with a pair of victories. He scored a 16-8 major decision over Eric Fantegrossi of American and a 2-1 decision over the Monarchs' David Kaplan.

At 174 pounds, Gary Cooper (Adams, NY/South Jefferson) opened with a pin of the Eagles' Aaron Baker only 23 seconds into the match. Against Old Dominion, Cooper won a 10-7 decision over John Adams.

Kyle Cerminara (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter) continued his sensational freshman campaign at 197 pounds with two more wins. He first won by technical fall over American's Adam Montgomery. Cerminara took a 26-11 lead only two minutes and 18 seconds into the match to pick up his first career dual meet technical fall. Cerminara then scored a 9-4 decision over the Monarchs' Brad Krepps.

At 133 pounds, Brian Sebaaly (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) earned his second career dual meet victory with a 22-5 technical fall over the Eagles' Matthew Pelligrino. Ryan Bentley (Ripley, NY/Ripley) received a forfeit at the 141-pound weight class versus American. Dave Edwards (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall) scored a 24-8 technical fall over Aviv Bercovicz of American.

Garrett Bontempo (DuBois, PA/Dubois Area) won his opening match at 184 pounds over the Eagles' Kyle Mason by a 9-3 decision. He lost his second match, though, by a 4-2 decision to Old Dominion's Jeff Rusak, who is ranked fourth in the nation by Amateur Wrestling News and remains undefeated with a 27-0 mark this season.

Bill Jacoutot (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) opened with a 4-1 loss to American's Marc Hoffer, who Amateur Wrestling News lists as 18th in the country at 149 pounds. Jacoutot then rebounded with a 10-4 decision over the Monarchs' Casey Todd.

Buffalo closes out its regular season next Saturday at the Cornell Duals, where UB will face Mid-American Conference rival Ohio, and the Big 12's Missouri.
