SLIPPERY ROCK, PA - The University at Buffalo's wrestling team compiled a 33-9 victory at Slippery Rock on Tuesday night. Eight Bulls were victorious, helping to move UB to 11-4 on the season.

Buffalo heavyweight Greg Thomas (Baldwin, NY/Uniondale) won by fall, while freshman 125-pounder Mark McKnight (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) won his match by technical fall. Earlier in the day, McKnight was named the Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season.

At 184 pounds, UB sophomore Harold Sherrell (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) also won by technical fall. Two Bulls' juniors - Cliff Smith (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) at 133 pounds and Kyle Cerminara (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter) at 197 pounds - posted wins by major decision.

Buffalo's other winners by standard decisions included sophomore Mike Sebaaly (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) at 141 pounds, freshman Patrick Lloyd (Middletown, NY/Valley Central) at 149 pounds and senior Ed Pawlak (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) at 174 pounds.

The Bulls have only one more day of action in their regular season. On Sunday, February 22nd, UB hosts MAC foes Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan in a tri-meet at Alumni Arena.
