BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team dropped a home match against 17th-ranked Central Michigan by a 32-6 score on Saturday night. UB falls to 10-4 overall and 1-2 in Mid-American Conference matches.

The only Bulls to win their respective matches were Mark McKnight (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) at 125 pounds and Kyle Cerminara (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter) at 197 pounds.

McKnight, a freshman, began the evening with an impressive 8-4 victory over Kyle Stoffer - who was ranked 19th nationally at 125 pounds in the latest Amateur Wrestling News' individual rankings. McKnight - who moved to 26-6 overall this season - recorded two takedowns, a two-point near fall and two escapes in the match.

Buffalo then dropped the meet's next seven bouts, including a match at 174 pounds in which Central Michigan's Kevin Carr edged UB senior Ed Pawlak (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) by a 4-2 score in the match's second overtime session.

Cerminara later snapped the UB slide, earning a 7-3 win over Joe Yager. The UB junior recorded three takedowns and one escape in the process of moving to 31-3 on the season.

The Bulls return to action this Tuesday at Slippery Rock. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 pm.
