Head Coach Jim Lodes: "Kelsey has diligently worked this past off season to become physically stronger, a better blocker and a more versatile attacker. She should really become a factor in the success of our program this fall."

2006: Saw action in 68 games for UB, but missed 15 matches due to a knee injury...had 121 kills on the year, including 12 against Army (9/9)...Despite missing the time, finished tied for second in solo blocks (14) and third in total blocks (85)...had nine total blocks against High Point (8/26) and again against Coastal Carolina (9/2)...finished with seven total blocks in a three-game victory over Syracuse (9/5) and a victory over Holy Cross (9/9).

High School: Four-year letterwinner and two-year captain for head coach Tom Paszko at Chatfield Senior High School...helped lead the team to a 23-3 record as a senior and a league championship...was named first-team All-Conference as a senior and second-team All-Conference as a junior.

Personal: Born March 9, 1988...daughter of Shelly Johnson...has one brother (Owen)...favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption...chose UB because of the volleyball team and the academics...favorite food is twice-baked potato...her greatest athletic influence is her mom...her dream as a college athlete is to help her team reach its highest potential.
