Head Coach Jim Lodes: "Kate is the epitome of a team player. She works hard on and off the court to represent our program at its finest. Her energy should allow her to play a more stabilized role this season."

2006: Played in 25 games for the Bulls...was given the Coaches’ Award following the season...recorded 15 kills on 32 attempts against Kent State (10/12)...had six kills in the season-opener against Charlotte (8/25)...recorded a block assist on six separate occasions...also recorded five assists, including two against Charlotte (8/25).

Prior To UB: Appeared in nine matches for Temple during her freshman season, seeing limited action...recorded two kills on two different occasions, including two kills and a dig against Harvard...had a block against Virginia Commonwealth.

High School: Three-time All-State and All-County honoree...led Pittsford Sutherland to the Section V Girls Class B Volleyball Championships in 2004 and 2005 and an Intersectional State title and runner-up position in 2005 and 2004, respectively...named to Section V Class B All-Tournament Team during junior and senior seasons and garnered Section V Division III Player of the Year recognition during junior year...was part of high school team that posted a 56-5 record in four years...was an Empire State Games gold medalist and was invited to participate in the USA Junior Olympic Development Camp in July, 2004...selected to Penfield, East Side and Pittsford All-Tournament Teams.

Personal: Born February 12, 1987...daughter of Bill and Cece...has one brother (Billy) and one sister (Kristy)...enjoys shopping, movies and cooking... favorite athlete is Mia Hamm...chose UB because of the great coaching staff...her dream as a college athlete is to win the MAC Championship...would like to break the all-time kills record at Buffalo.
