Head Coach Jim Lodes: "Lauren worked extremely hard this past spring to become a quality setter. Along with adding depth as a setter, she will also continue to be expected to contribute in her role as a defensive specialist."

2006: One of three players to play in all 117 games for UB...voted team’s Top Newcomer...finished fourth on the team with 222 digs...had a career-high 18 digs against Ball State (11/14)...had 12 digs against Canisius (9/12)...had 42 assists on the year including four against High Point (8/26) and Ball State (11/14)...finished tied for third on the team with 35 services aces...had a season-high five aces against Central Michigan (10/28).

High School: Earned seven letters and was a two-time captain for coaches Steve Huntingdale and Katie Hagen at Smoky Hill High School...as a senior, her team was a regional and district winner, while appearing in the state final four...after recording 197 kills and 186 digs as a senior, was named Rocky Mountain News Best of the Best Outside Hitter  and named to the RMR All-Star Club, as well as the All-State squad...the team also reached the state final four in 2003 and 2004, where she was named second-team All-Conference...also excelled as a goalie on the school soccer team, helping her team reach the final four twice and the final eight once.

Personal: Born December 11, 1987...daughter of Michael and Tamera...has one sister (Cally)...nickname is Lo Lo...chose UB over Hawaii and Cal State Fullerton...favorite food is sushi...her dream as a college athlete is to be in the NCAA Championship Game...three words she says best describe her are outgoing, spontaneous and loving...three people she would invite to dinner are Oprah Winfrey, Nolan Ryan and George Bush...cartoon character she would be is Betty Boop.
