Coach Jim Lodes: “Danielle brings two years of collegiate experience to our roster and will add depth to our middle blocker position. ” Previous College: Played two seasons for head coach Jim Vanderhoof at Roberts Wesleyan College...during her sophomore year, she finished second on the team with 42 service aces...team finished 22-14 and finished in first in the north conference for NAIA...she had 152 kills and 52 total blocks, while in her first year with Roberts she had 155 kills and 46 blocks. High School: Earned five letters and captained one season for head coach Desiree Dillabough at Westhill High School...set school records for kills, blocks and aces...was named first-team All-League in 2005 and second-team All-League in 2004...also played first base for the Westhill softball team and was a forward on the soccer team. Personal: Born May 11, 1987...daughter of John and Barb...has two brothers (Mike and Chris)...chose to attend UB because she wanted to be in a diverse environment with many different classes to choose from...says the best part about being a DI athlete is the team and the hardest part is the time and commitment...would like to set the school record at UB for kills in a game...if she could be any cartoon character, it would be Jimmy Neutron. |
