Ashare Named to Academic All-MAC Volleyball Team
Ashare, a middle hitter, recently completed her three-year career at UB with 415 kills, 136 digs and 159 blocks. She was a team captain this past season and was the Bulls' Most Improved Player in 2001 after leading the team with a .241 hitting percentage and recording 200 kills. Ashare was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District I Volleyball First Team, as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), after being named to the second team in 2001. She carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in psychology and plans to forgo her final year of playing eligibility in 2003 to concentrate on pursuing a master's degree in clinical psychology. Ashare is joined on the 2002 Academic All-MAC Team by Stephanie Keller (Ball State),
