11/8 Weekly ReleaseCurrent record - 11-15 (4-10) (Mid-American Conference)Player of the Week Sophomore outside hitter Rebecca Meade led the Bulls despite two losses this week. Meade recorded 20 kills in the two matches and had 28 digs in the two matches as well. She also recorded two service aces. Bulls to Host Kent, Miami The Bulls will begin a four-game home stretch this weekend when they host Kent on Friday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. and Miami on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. The Bulls will also host the last two games of the season the following weekend in games against Toledo and Bowling Green. Shiels, Meade Continue to Lead Bulls Keri Shiels and senior outside hitter Rebecca Meade have continued their consistent perfomance for the Bulls this season. Shiels leads the team in kills with a 3.48 per game average while Meade is close behind at 3.39 per game. Meade leads the Bulls in digs with a 3.47 average and is second in services aces at 0.34 per game. Shiels has played in a team-high 92 games this season while Meade is second in games played appearing in 87. Buffalo Falls to Falcons The Bulls dropped two road MAC games this past weekend, falling to Bowling Green 15-11, 15-3 and 15-7. In that game, Keri Shiels led the team with 13 kills and Rebecca Meade had eight kills and 15 digs. Senior setter Somer Deschambault was also strong in the match as she contributed 28 assists and six digs. Bulls Drop Road Match at Toledo The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team lost their second game on an Ohio road trip, losing in three games to Toledo, 15-8, 15-13, 15-3. Rebecca Meade had a team-best 12 kills and 13 digs while Somer Deschambault had 31 assists. Keri Shiels added 12 digs in the loss. Road Blocks Newcomer Sasha Courbat has made an impact for the Bulls in her first season, particulary at the net where she leads the Bulls in blocks per game with a 0.92 average. Deschambault Closing in on Assist Record Senior Somer Deschambault needs 285 assists to become UB's All-Time assists leader. Deschambault currently has 3,563 assists compared to UB's all-time leader Barb Tinus (1987) who has 3,848. As a sidenote, Deschambault had 1,085 assists in 1998. Deschambault All-Time Career Records:
