Volleyball Season Ends At Bowling Green Kristin Bignell leads the way with 12 kills for the Bulls
UB, who was visiting Bowling Green for the second time in four days, claimed a victory in the second set, but Bowling Green ultimately took sets one, three and four. The Falcons won the match, 25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-14 as they hit .357 opposed to .172 for the Bulls. UB did hit .342 in the second set that it won.
The Bulls were led by 12 kills from sophomore Kristin Bignell, who had just three errors on 24 swings. Bignell finished the season by hitting .307, becoming the first UB player to hit over .300 in a season since joining the MAC. Also finishing in double figures in kills was senior Claudia Neba who registered 11 on the night. Sophomore Kayla Govier added seven kills for UB and two service aces, while sophomore Lindsey Schlegel led the way with a team-high 35 assists. Junior Lauren Fensten had a match-high 17 digs, while freshman Heather Pyle added a career-best 10 digs.
Bowling Green was led by 18 kills from Meghan Mohr and 12 kills from Corey Domek. Sam Fish added 50 assists for the Falcons, while Chelsey Meek had 15 digs. The Bulls end the season with a 6-25 record and a 1-15 mark in the MAC. The Bulls will have 14 players back on next year's squad.
