The Bulls, the tournament's 13th seed after compiling a 1-15 conference record, were led by junior Katie Weekley (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) with six kills and sophomore Lauren Burd (York, PA/Central York) with four kills and five blocks. Junior setter Amy Brown (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) had 16 assists and a team-high seven digs. Senior Molly Schrantz (Depew, NY/Lancaster), who needed 10 kills to reach 1,000 for her career, finished with four kills and three digs. She ends her four-year career with 994 career kills (eighth all-time in UB volleyball history) and 1,020 career digs (ninth all-time in UB volleyball history).

The Broncos (18-10 overall) entered tonight's match as the 11th seed in the Mideast Region in the latest RichKern.com/AVCA Regional Ranking, released earlier today. WMU was the fourth seed in the MAC Tournament after finishing with an 11-5 league record. The Broncos hit .358 as a team in the match, including .500 in the third game, and they got double-digit kill performances from both Abby Gephart (13) and Ashley Schatzle (10) to lead their attack. Schea Fissel had a match-high 19 digs, and Jessica Holly finished with 45 assists and nine digs.

The Broncos advance to face No. 5 Eastern Michigan in the quarterfinals on Friday at Bowling Green.
