BOWLING GREEN, OH – The UB women’s volleyball team began its final regular season weekend with a 3-0 loss at Bowling Green, Friday night at Anderson Arena. UB had three players with at least seven kills in the match.

Bowling Green took the contest, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 as the Falcons hit .359 for the night, opposed to UB’s .205. The Bulls were led by Maria Mezzadri who had nine kills. Senior Claudia Neba added eight kills and no errors on 15 total swings. Her .533 hitting percentage was a team high for the night. Sophomore Marisa Hornbaker added seven kills. Sophomore Lindsey Schlegel had a team-best 25 assists, while junior Lauren Fensten led the Bulls with 10 digs. UB added six service aces, including two from both Mezzadri and Schlegel.

Bowling Green was led by 14 kills from Corey Domek and 11 kills from Kendra Halm. Sam Fish added 30 assists and Chelsey Meek finished with 16 digs.

The Bulls wrap up the regular season tomorrow as they head to Miami to face the RedHawks. The match is set to begin at 5:00 pm.
