Miami Defeats UBBulls Fall in Three GamesBUFFALO, NY - The UB volleyball team dropped their fourth straight match, losing in three games, 15-1, 15-5, 15-7, to the visiting Miami Redhawks. Miami dominated the first game, leading 8-0 at one point in taking that game 15-1. The second game was close in the beginning, as the Bulls cut into the Redhawk lead to make it 6-4, but Miami would then rally to take control of the match but winning the second game 15-5. The third game was even in the beginning as well before the Redhawks went on a couple of runs and finished it off by scoring match point on a service ace. UB was led by Rebecca Meade (Selden, NY/Selden) who recorded a team best 11 kills and 12 digs. Somer Deschambault (Midland, Ontario/St. Theresa's) had 20 assists for the Bulls as well. Miami was led by Alissia Thompson with 11 kills and six digs and Lee Ann Karr with 10 kills and six digs. Kerry Hardek had 20 assists and Andrea Stone led the Redhawks with 12 digs. The Bulls fall to 11-17 overall and 4-12 in the MAC while Miami improved to 14-12 overall
and 9-7 in the conference. UB will close out the regular season next weekend when they host Toledo
on Friday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. and Bowling Green on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m.
