Alexis Bouie

HUNTINGTON, WV - The University at Buffalo volleyball team dropped a three-game match at Marshall tonight in Mid-American Conference action, 30-27, 30-25, 31-29. The Bulls were led by junior Alexis Bouie (Albion, NY/Albion) with 10 kills and a match-high six blocks, and junior Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) added seven kills and seven digs to get closer in her quest for 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. She now has 981 kills and 982 digs in her career. The win for Marshall (18-8, 9-4 MAC) was head coach Mitch Jacobs' 200th career victory.

Freshman Katie Weekley (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) and sophomore Molly Schrantz (Depew, NY/Lancaster) each added five kills for the Bulls, and Weekley also finished with five blocks while Schrantz added 16 assists and three blocks. Sophomore Kathryn Henry (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) added a team-high nine digs, four kills and three blocks, and freshman Amy Brown (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) added seven digs and 14 assists.

The Bulls (9-18, 1-12 MAC) play a 7 pm match at Ohio tomorrow night.
