Volleyball Loses to Miami, 3-0BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team was shut out by the visiting Miami (OH) RedHawks, 3-0 at Alumni Arena. The loss was Buffalo's 14th in a row and its 15th in league play this season. Freshman Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) continued her productive rookie campaign with a match-high 14 kills. She also added eight digs, and junior Keri Shiels (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) finished the match with six kills and a match-high nine digs. The RedHawks scored easy 15-1, 15-1 wins in the opening two games of the match before the Bulls got some momentum going in the third game. Buffalo led 9-7 before Miami took control and rallied for a 15-11 win to end the match. The RedHawks were paced by junior Lee Ann Karr with 12 kills and six digs. The Bulls (4-23 overall, 0-15 MAC) will host the Syracuse Orangewomen in a non-conference match on Wednesday, November 8 at 7 p.m. at Alumni Arena.
