Bulls Fall At Akron, 3-0
Akron took the match 30-27, 30-28, 30-21 as it outhit Buffalo .244 to .098. UB was led by a match-high 13 kills from freshman Richelle Bigelow (Littleton, CO/Dakota Ridge). Bigelow also recorded seven digs on the night. Sophomore Kelsey Lueders (Littleton, CO/Chatfield) also reached double figures in the kills department as she had 10 on the evening. Freshman Lindsey Schlegel (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had 36 assists and a team-high 15 digs. Junior Claudia Neba (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill/Rutgers) added six kills and eight digs. Akron was led by three players with double figures in kills, including 12 from Brionna Patterson. Megan Rodriguez had a match-high 18 digs and setter Kara Smith had 40 assists. The Bulls return home tomorrow night as they host Toledo at Alumni Arena. The match with the Rockets begins at 7:00 pm. UB has not been home since Oct. 13. |
