BUFFALO, NY - Junior Keri Shiels (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) recorded a team-high 14 kills to lead the University at Buffalo women's volleyball team in a 3-0 loss to the visiting Cornell Big Red. Cornell battled for 15-9, 15-8 and 15-11 wins as the Bulls lost their 12th straight match. With her 14 kills, Shiels moved into ninth place all-time in career kills at UB with 858. She passed Kathy Brinkworth (1994-97), who compiled 852 kills in her career.

Freshman Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) added 13 kills to the Buffalo effort, and freshman Alexis Bouie (Albion, NY/Albion) added five kills and a career-high eight digs in her fifth career start. Junior Larissa LaCour (West Islip, NY/West Islip) added 39 assists from her setter position and also chipped in a team-high nine digs.

The Bulls (4-21 overall, 0-13 MAC) are home this weekend for Mid-American Conference contests against Ohio on Saturday, November 4 at 7 p.m. and against Miami (OH) on Sunday, November 5 at 3 p.m.
