Buffalo Knocks off Ohio in MAC Action
Meade leads Bulls with 16 kills; Buffalo moves to 11-13 overall, 4-8 in conference playBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team moved to 11-13 overall and 4-8 in the Mid-American Conference with a win over Ohio today (10/31) in Alumni Arena in four games. The Bulls, who were lead by senior outside hitter Rebecca Meade (Selden, NY/Selden) with 16 kills and 16 digs, defeated the Bobcats in four games, 15-7, 15-4, 15-17, 15-12.
Sophomore middle hitter Heather Barfuss (Huntington, NY/John H. Glenn) was also strong for the Bulls with 13 kills. Senior setter Somer Deschambault (Midland, Ontario/St. Theresa's) contributed 48 kills and 10 digs in the Buffalo win.
The Bobcats were lead by Kris Whitfield with 17 kills and seven digs.
The Bulls return to action this Friday when they travel to Bowling Green for a 7:00 pm match.
