Nationally-Ranked Ohio Too Much For Bulls
Ohio took the match 30-21, 30-16, 30-12 as the Bobcats outhit UB .396 to .000. Junior Claudia Neba (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill/Rutgers) led the way for the Bulls with seven kills and freshman Richelle Bigelow (Littleton, CO/Dakota Ridge) had six kills and a team-high seven digs, while also recording three of UB’s four service aces on the night. Freshman Lindsey Schlegel (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had 19 assists in the contest.
Ohio was led by 10 kills from Jane Sytsma and 11 digs from Stephanie Blackburn. Michelle Jantsch and Jill Dearmond each had 17 assists for the Bobcats. UB has one more regular season match on the road as the Bulls travel to Akron on Fri. Nov. 2 for a 7:00 pm match. The Bulls defeated the Zips earlier this season in Buffalo by a score of 3-1. |
