MT. PLEASANT, MI - The University at Buffalo volleyball team's attempt to pick up its first Mid-American Conference victory of the season at Central Michigan tonight was spoiled by the Chippewas who posted a season-high team hitting percentage of .305 en route to a sweep of the Bulls at Rose Arena. Game scores were 30-23, 30-23 and 30-22. The loss drops Buffalo's record to 5-17 overall and 0-12 in the MAC while Central Michigan improves to 6-14 overall and 1-11 in the MAC.

Lindsay Matikosh

Buffalo sophomore Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) was the only player to reach double figures in kills with 10. She also added a team-high 13 digs, followed by freshman Katie Henry (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) with 12 digs. Sophomore Becky Ashare (Coram, NY/Longwood) contributed nine kills on 24 attempts without an error while also adding seven digs and one block. Sophomore Alexis Bouie (Albion, NY/Albion) finished the night with seven kills and a team-high three blocks, and senior setter Larissa LaCour (West Islip, NY/West Islip) recorded 33 assists, eight digs and one block.

The Bulls return home to Alumni Arena for their next four matches, beginning on Friday, November 2 against Eastern Michigan at 7 pm. Buffalo then hosts Marshall on Saturday, November 3, also at 7 pm.
