Volleyball Loses at Western Michigan

Larissa LaCour moves into seventh place all-time in career assists

BUFFALO, NY - Junior Larissa LaCour (West Islip, NY/West Islip) posted 12 assists in the University at Buffalo women's volleyball team's loss to Western Michigan, moving her into seventh place all-time in career assists with 1,057. The Bulls dropped three straight games to the Broncos, 1-15, 8-15, 6-15, to remain winless in the Mid-American Conference. The win was Western Michigan's ninth in a row.

Freshman Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) led the Bulls offensively with seven kills on 14 attempts. She and LaCour also posted a match-high seven digs apiece. LaCour has 725 assists this season, and her 12 assists against the Broncos moved her past Mary Tocke (1,051 career assists, 1989-91) on the UB career assists list.

Buffalo (4-19 overall, 0-12 MAC) plays at Kent State at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 28.
