Akron Zips By Bulls, 3-0
The Bulls hit just .031 in the match and committed 29 costly attack errors while recording just 33 kills on 127 attempts. For the second straight match, Buffalo did not have a player reach double digits in kills. Freshman Tammy Jule (Regina Beach, Saskatchewan/Riffel) led the Bulls with nine kills while sophomore Nikki Morzenti (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater) recorded six kills and seven digs. Freshman libero Lizaiha Garcia (Dayton, OH/Beavercreek) had a team-high 12 digs, and junior Katie Weekley (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) had four kills and a match-high six blocks, including two solos. Akron was led by Emily Kocinski with 13 kills and 13 digs and Jennifer Stewart with a match-high 14 kills. Lori Snider had a match-high 15 digs.
The Bulls have now lost their last 11 matches. They play at Ball State next Friday, October 29 at 7 pm. |
