Bobcats Sweep Bulls
The Bobcats (16-2 overall, 8-0 MAC) controlled play at the net, recording a .330 hitting percentage while holding the Bulls to a -.096 mark. Ohio easily won games one and two, and it used an 11-3 run in game three to pull away after the Bulls stayed within two early on, 9-7. Melissa Griffin led Ohio with 14 kills on 18 attempts. Briana Adamovsky recorded 34 assists for the Bobcats while Michaele Blackburn had a match-high 18 digs. Buffalo was led by junior Katie Weekley (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) with five kills and sophomore Nikki Morzenti (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater) with three kills and seven digs. The loss, Buffalo’s 10th in a row, dropped the Bulls’ record to 7-15 overall and 0-9 in the MAC. Buffalo is at Akron tomorrow night for a 7 pm match. |
