Akron Hands Bulls Three-Game Loss
After easy wins in the opening two games, the Zips found themselves down for most of the third game. The Bulls led 29-26 before Akron's Lyndsay Sopko held her serve for five straight points, allowing the Zips to end the game and the match on a kill by Ashlie Case. Buffalo sophomore Becky Ashare (Coram, NY/Longwood) had seven kills and one block, and senior setter Larissa LaCour (West Islip, NY/West Islip) finished the match with 32 assists, five digs and one block. The Bulls will be back in action on Wednesday, October 24 for a 7 pm home match at
Alumni Arena against Binghamton before taking to the road for two conference matches over the weekend,
at Bowling Green on Friday, October 26 and at Central Michigan on Saturday, October 27. Both of
those matches are set to begin at 7 pm. |
