FORT WAYNE, IN – The University at Buffalo volleyball team ended its five-match road streak with a 3-0 non-conference loss to IPFW, Saturday night at the Gates Sports Center. The match was UB’s final non-conference tilt of the season and dropped the Bulls to 13-12 on the season. Being a non-conference match, Buffalo’s conference record remains at 2-6.

The Bulls were led by their two senior outside hitters as both Nikki Morzenti (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater) and Jenna Mapé (Calgary, Alberta/Father Lacombe) recorded 10 kills for UB. Morzenti added eights digs on the evening, which was tied for tops on the team with freshman Lauren Fensten (Centennial, CO/Smoky Hill).

Junior Lizaiha Garcia (Dayton, OH/Beavercreek) added seven digs and finished with a match-high three service aces. Senior setter Brandie Clark (Medicine Hat, Alberta/Medicine Hat) also recorded seven digs and had three total blocks. She also finished with a team-high 26 assists.
