Volleyball Loses Four-Game Match at MiamiBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team earned a 15-8 win in the opening game of the match but then dropped three games in a row to lose to Miami, OH. The RedHawks put together 15-6 and 15-1 wins in games two and three and then pulled out a 15-13 win in game four to earn their first Mid-American Conference victory of the season. With the loss, the Bulls fall to 4-12 overall and 0-5 in the MAC. Junior Wendy Ryder (Bernhards Bay, NY/Genesee Community College) led Buffalo's attack with nine kills and six digs, and freshman Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) added eight kills and five digs. Freshman Alexis Bouie (Albion, NY/Albion) recorded career highs of six kills and five blocks in her first collegiate start. Buffalo plays its fifth straight road game tomorrow night at Ball State at 7 pm. The Cardinals stand atop the MAC's West Division with a 12-3 overall record and a 5-0 conference mark.
