Bulls Split Second Weekend Of MAC Play

The University at Buffalo volleyball team split its matches this past weekend at Alumni Arena as the Bulls defeated Kent State, 3-1, on Friday night before falling 3-1 to Ohio on Saturday night. For the first time since joining the MAC, the Bulls have picked up league victories on each of the first two weekends.

Silvers Surpasses 200 Kills

Senior Dani Silvers has surpassed the 200-kill total for the season as she added 30 on the weekend. Silvers has already doubled her kill total from last season and at 225 kills is just 27 away from reaching UB’s highest kill total from all of 2008.

Block Party

The Bulls have amassed 114 total team blocks, led by 60 total blocks from Kristin Bignell. UB’s two middles have also helped with the blocking figure as sophomore Abby Niekamp has 43 blocks and Kelsey Lueders is right behind her with 42.

Up Next

The Bulls remain home on Thursday night as they host Akron at Alumni Arena at 7:00 pm. UB will then hit the road as it heads to Ball State on Saturday night for a 7:00 pm match.
