BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo volleyball team was unable to sustain the momentum from Friday night’s victory as the Bulls fell to Ohio, 3-1, Saturday night at Alumni Arena. The Bulls took the first set, but dropped the next three as they fall to 11-6 on the season and 2-2 in the MAC.

The Bobcats took the match 14-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-12 as they hit .164 for the match, opposed to just .033 for the Bulls. UB looked to be in control with a 25-14 victory in set one, holding Ohio to a -.097 hitting clip. From there, the teams had close sets in both two and three with Ohio securing the win comfortably in the fourth.

“I think tonight was a lesson learned that we need to fight the entire match for every point,” said head coach Todd Kress. “We had a lot of missed opportunities and we have to learn quick as we have another match on Thursday night.”
