Bulls Pick Up First Conference Victory The University at Buffalo volleyball team recorded its first conference win of the season and broke a 12-match losing streak as it defeated Akron this past Thursday, 3-1. UB played a total team match against the Zips, but were unable to take the momentum into Ball State as the Bulls fell to the Cardinals, 3-0 on Saturday night. The Bulls will have their next two conference matches on the road. Schlegel Falls Just Short Of Triple-Double Freshman Lindsey Schlegel (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) just missed recording a triple-double in UB’s win over Akron. The freshman setter had nine kills, 41 assists and 11 digs against the Zips as she guided the Bulls to victory. Schlegel leads the team in hitting percentage and her 580 assists and 28 service aces are also tops on the team. Schlegel also has 154 digs and 30 total blocks.
