Volleyball Loses First MAC MatchBUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team lost its first Mid-American Conference match of the season, 3-0 to visiting Central Michigan. The Chippewas earned 15-12 wins in the first and third games of the match and held off a Bulls' comeback attempt in the second game for a 15-10 win. Junior Keri Shiels (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) posted 14 kills while freshman Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) recorded a match-high 18 digs. Junior Larissa LaCour (West Islip, NY/West Islip) had 31 assists, and junior Sasha Courbat (Cedar Falls, IA/Kirkwood Community College) added seven kills, six digs and two blocks to the Bulls' effort. Buffalo (3-8 overall, 0-1 MAC) hosts Northern Illinois at 4 pm on Saturday, September 23 at Alumni Arena.
