HARRISONBURG, VA - The University at Buffalo volleyball team began the James Madison Tournament with a convincing 3-0 victory over Campbell this afternoon in Harrisonburg, VA. Games scores were 30-19, 30-19 and 30-16.

Sophomore Nikki Morzenti (Safety Harbor, FL/Clearwater) led the Bulls with nine kills, nine digs and two blocks, and sophomore Lauren Burd (York, PA/Central York) had eight kills and two blocks. Junior setter Amy Brown (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) recorded 29 assists and six digs, and freshman libero Lizaiha Garcia (Dayton, OH/Beavercreek) had a match-high 11 digs.

Campbell (2-7) was led by Alissa Brackeen with 10 kills and eight digs and Rachel Templin with seven kills and two blocks.

The Bulls (6-5) will conclude play in the tournament tomorrow with matches against North Carolina A&T at 10 am and host James Madison at 7 pm. Those matches will mark the end of the 2004 non-conference schedule. Buffalo begins Mid-American Conference play on Friday, September 24 at Western Michigan.
