ORLANDO, FL - The University at Buffalo volleyball team finished play in the UCF Fall Invitational today, dropping matches to Georgia Southern (30-21, 30-21, 30-26) and to Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan (30-18, 30-23, 30-20). The losses drop the Bulls' record to 4-6 overall on the season. Junior Molly Schrantz (Depew, NY/Lancaster) was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Bulls with 2.50 kills per game, 3.60 digs per game and 0.50 blocks per game in their three matches at the tournament.

Senior Lindsay Matikosh (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) was the only player to reach double figures in kills for the Bulls in each match. She finished with 11 against Georgia Southern and 12 against Central Michigan. Schrantz led Buffalo in digs in each match with 10 against GSU and 13 against CMU. Freshman Wendy Haskell (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) recorded seven digs in each match, and senior Alexis Bouie (Albion, NY/Albion) had a match-high eight blocks, including three solos, in the loss to Georgia Southern.

Buffalo will now participate in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Tournament next weekend. The Bulls will play Texas Southern at 3 pm and Seton Hall at 7 pm on Friday, September 19 and Maryland Eastern Shore at 12 pm and Belmont at 4 pm on Saturday, September 20. The tournament will be the Bulls' last preparation for the MAC season as they open the conference slate with home matches against Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan on Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27.
