Volleyball Begins Play at Montana State Tournament

Bulls fall to Boise State in three games

BOZEMAN, MT - The University at Buffalo volleyball team began play at the Montana State Tournament this afternoon, dropping its first match of the competition to Boise State, 3-0. Game scores were 30-22, 30-19 and 30-16. Senior Molly Schrantz (Depew, NY/Lancaster) led the Bulls with five kills, seven digs and three blocks, while freshman Tammy Julé (Regina Beach, Saskatchewan/Riffel) had four kills and three blocks and junior Katie Weekley (Dayton, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) had two kills and a match-high six blocks. Junior setter Amy Brown (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) recorded 14 assists and eight digs.

Boise State (5-0) was led by Cameron Flunder with 10 kills and Telia Peterson with eight kills and 10 digs.

The Bulls (3-3) take on host Montana State tonight at 9 pm before facing Dartmouth at 11 am and Portland at 5 pm on Saturday. All times are Eastern.
