Andreza Santos Completes Volleyball Staff Santos played for Todd Kress at Florida State
This past season, Santos helped coach Florida A&M to its eighth consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament where they played Florida in the first round. The Lady Rattlers finished the season 14-13, but did post a 7-1 mark in league play. In 2007, Florida A&M also won the MEAC title falling to Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 3-1. The Lady Rattlers finished that season 18-8. Santos played two seasons for Florida State, beginning in 2004. In 2005, Santos led the Seminoles in hitting percentage at .278 and her 356 kills were also tops on the team. She also added 127 digs and 66 total blocks for Florida State. “I am very excited to have Andreza join the staff,” said Kress. “She was an outstanding player for me at Florida State and she had a lot of success coaching a Florida A&M. I look for Andreza to not only bring a lot of energy to this program, but her ties to Brazil and South America will help us greatly in the recruiting process.” Santos received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from Florida State in December 2006.
