Bulls Dominate Niagara, NEIU

The Bulls regained a winning record after dominating the Purple Eagles of Niagara on Wednesday night (11/5) in Alumni Arena. The Bulls knocked off the Eagles in a quick three games, 15-3, 15-9, 15-7 and were led by senior middle hitter Kathy Brinkworth (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) who had seven kills and three solo blocks in the match.

On Saturday the Bulls competed in their final regular season conference game against Northeastern Illinois. The Bulls hammered NEIU by 15-6 and 15-4 counts in the first two games, but struggled in the third, winning 18-16.

Sophomore outside hitter Rebecca Meade (Selden, NY/Newfield) led the Bulls attack with nine kills and a .304 attacking percentage. Sophomore Somer Deschambault (Medland, ONT) added ten digs and 12 assists. Junior middle hitter Aprille Sweeting (Hilton, NY) notched five kills and sophomore outside hitter Katie Cahill (Pittsford, NY/Rush-Henrietta) had eight digs in the Buffalo victory.
