Andreza Santos is in her first season as assistant coach with the Bull. Santos, a native of Brazil, comes to Buffalo after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Florida A&M. Prior to that she played for Kress at Florida State. She joins a coaching staff that already includes Jenni Horvath, who was hired in the Spring. This past season, Santos helped coach Florida A&M to its eighth consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament where they played Florida in the first round. The Lady Rattlers finished the season 14-13, but did post a 7-1 mark in league play. In 2007, Florida A&M also won the MEAC title falling to Oklahoma in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 3-1. The Lady Rattlers finished that season 18-8. Santos played two seasons for Florida State, beginning in 2004. In 2005, Santos led the Seminoles in hitting percentage at .278 and her 356 kills were also tops on the team. She also added 127 digs and 66 total blocks for Florida State. Santos received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from Florida State in December 2006. |
