Career at UB
2007-08: Finished 6-1 in singles and 8-4 in doubles in the fall season. Won the Flight “C” singles title at the Bucknell Invitational. Joined Andreea Novaceanu to win the Flight “A” doubles title at the Can-Am Tournament. Joined Novaceanu in the doubles qualifying round at the ITA Regionals.

2006-07: Compiled a 14-6 singles record and a 17-10 doubles mark during the 2006-07 season. Jacob started the spring campaign with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against St. Bonaventure. Followed that up by breaking a 3-3 tie and giving UB a 4-3 victory over nationally-ranked Syracuse. Won her first five matches of the spring season. Won both her singles and doubles match against MAC for, Eastern Michigan.

2005-06: Was second on the team with 18 doubes wins, all with partner Andreea Novaceanu, as the duo played most of their matches in the first or second spot. Also went 16-7 in singles action and 5-3 in MAC play at the sixth slot. Scored the clinching victory against Toledo’s Sarah VanderMolen, 7-6 (3), 6-0, in UB’s 6-1 win over the Rockets after Toledo had taken the doubles point.

2004-05: Played number one doubles with Andreea Novaceanu, posting a 9-5 doubles record. Also went 11-9 in singles matches as a freshman.

Prior to UB
Participated in the Fed Cup Tournament in 2000, 2001 and 2002, which she lists as her greatest athletic experience. Helped Singapore beat Syria, 3-0, in 2002, earning a 6-3, 6-1 doubles win with partner Sonya Kumar.

Personal
Born June 6, 1985. Parents are Thomas and Susan Jacob. Has two brothers (Ryan and Kane). Favorite athlete is Marat Safin and Roger Federer. Favorite movie is Crash. Hobbies include visual arts and she enjoys playing croquet. Came to UB because it is an “excellent school and was near relatives.” Majoring in accounting.
