HANOVER, NH – University at Buffalo women's tennis player Miglena Nenova (Rousse, Bulgaria/Eurointellect) became the school's all-time winningest doubles individual as the Bulls opened play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's regional tournament at Dartmouth University.

Nenova and Denise Harijanto (Jakarta, Indonesia) defeated Dartmouth's Jesse Adler and Kerry Snow in the first round of the tournament, 8-4. The pair advanced to a second-round matchup with third-seeded Marianne Baker and Eleanor Peters of Maryland falling to the Terrapin twosome, 8-4, eliminating UB from the doubles competiton.

The victory against the Dartmouth tandem was Nenova's 60th doubles win in her four-year career. She passed current assistant coach Kristen Ortman for first place as the winningest doubles player in school history.

Andreea Novaceanu (Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) will play two matches on Sunday in singles action. Novaceanu gained a bye from the opening round of competition and will take on Kim Weltman of Albany at 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon in her first match of the tournament.
