Bulls Fall to Falcons at MAC Tournament

Women's Tennis Loses to Bowling Green

MUNCIE, IN - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team fell to No. 7 seeded Bowling Green State University at the Mid-American Conference Tournament in Muncie, IN on Thursday, 4-0. The Bulls were seeded 10th in the tournament.

In doubles competition, Karen Maynard (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) and Michaela Kollarova (Slovak Republic/Bratislava) fell to Devon Bissinger and Susie Schoenberger at number one, 8-2. At second doubles, Shani Amarasinghe (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) and Jennifer Wong (Penfield, NY/Penfield) fell to Lisa Maloney and Jessica Johnson, 8-0. At third doubles, Meaghan Partelow (Lyons, NY/Lyons) and Erica Zielinski (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) did not finish their match.

At first singles, Maynard fell to Bissinger, 6-0, 6-1. Zielinski fell at fifth singles to Laura Kokinda, 6-1, 6-0. At sixth singles, Partelow was defeated by Cameron Benjamin, 6-0, 6-0. Kollarova at second singles, Amarasinghe at third singles and Wong at fourth singles did not finish their matches.

Buffalo finishes its season 2-16 overall and 0-10 in the Mid-American Conference.
