The University at Buffalo women's tennis team concluded the regular season Saturday afternoon dropping a 7-0 decision to Western Michigan at the Village Glen Tennis Club.

The loss moves the Bulls to 5-15 overall and 0-9 in Mid-American Conference play as they prepare for the MAC Tournament in Kalamazoo, Mich. starting on Wednesday. Western Michigan, a MAC powerhouse, improved to 16-6 overall and 8-1 in league play to gain at least a share of the regular season crown. Marshall entered today's match at Miami with a 7-1 league mark and could tie the Broncos for the top spot with a win over the RedHawks.

The Bulls top performers in singles action Saturday were sixth seeded Gloria Rodriguez (Ridge, NY/Longwood) who fell to Mindy Champion 6-1, 6-3 and top seed Michelle Mercer (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) who dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Cyra Malik.
