Bulls Fall to EaglesYPSILANTI, MI - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost a Mid-American Conference match on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Eastern Michigan University. At first singles, junior Karen Maynard (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) fell to Simone Duhme, 6-1, 6-0. Freshman Michaela Kollarova (Slovak Republic/Bratislava) fell at second singles to Amalia Lincaru, 6-0, 6-1. At third singles, senior Shani Amarasinghe (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) fell to Shari Gamarnik, 6-0, 6-0. Senior Jennifer Wong (Penfield, NY/Penfield) fell to Kendra Clark at fourth singles, 6-1, 6-1. At fifth singles, senior Meaghan Partelow (Lyons, NY/Lyons) was defeated by Julie-Anne Ryan, 6-0, 6-1. Wendy Rose (Eden, NY/Eden) fell to Marijana Adzic at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-1. In doubles competition, Maynard and Kollarova fell to Rebecca Hawkins and Lisa D'Amelio at number one, 8-2. At second doubles, Amarasinghe and Wong fell to Duhme and Clark, 8-1. At third doubles, Partelow and Erica Zielinski (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) were defeated by Gamarnik and Lincaru, 8-0. The Bulls are next in action against Bowling Green State University on Friday, April 19 at 1 pm
