The Bulls were unable to secure the match's doubles point, but not without forcing a couple of tiebreakers. Both the first and second doubles matches were decided by tiebreakers with Toledo winning both. At number one, UB's Karen Maynard (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) and Kristen Ortman (Amherst, NY/Amherst) fell to Monica Ribero and Viviana Rivero, 9-8 (7-5 in the tiebreaker). The number two team of Michelle Kollarova (Bratislava, Slovak Republic/Sport Gymnasium) and Erica Zielinski (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) were also defeated, 9-8, by Daniella Moran and Eva Szuch, dropping the tiebreaker by a 7-3 count. UB's third doubles duo of Lisa Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) and Sheri Ugowski (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) dropped an 8-2 decision to Jen Meister and Eunice Paravicini.

In singles play, Ortman was UB's lone victor, as she defeated Rivero, 6-4, 6-2, in the number two match. The Bulls fell in the remainder of the matches. Maynard was downed by Ribero, 6-1, 6-0, at number one. Kollarova lost to Paravicini, 6-1, 6-1, at number three. At number four, Zielinski fell to Szuch, 6-4, 6-4. Wittman, at number five, was defeated by Moran, 6-0, 6-2. Number six Wendy Rose (Eden, NY/Eden) was defeated by Meister, 6-0, 6-1.

The Bulls end the Mid-American Conference schedule with the regular season finales next weekend. UB travels to Ball State on Friday and Bowling Green on Saturday for league matches. The conference championships are slated to begin April 24 at Eastern Michigan.
