Women's Tennis Weekly ReleaseCoach Kathy Twist's team traveled St. Bonaventure for an indoor match with the Bonnies Sunday afternoon. The Bulls fell by a 6-3 decision taking two of the three doubles contests. Shani Amarasinghe (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) was the lone singles winner for the Bulls defeating Megan Haruison 7-5, 7-5 at number six. Amarasinghe also teamed with Jennifer Wong (Penfield, NY/Penfield) to win at number three doubles 8-3 over Haruison and Stephanie Crawford. Kris Van Schoonhoven (Lockport, NY/Lockport) and Michelle Mercer (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) took their number two doubles match 8-5. The Bulls are next in action in Winter Park, Florida when they
face Rollins College on March 6. |
