Meghan Lafferty Freestyle Senior East Aurora, NY East Aurora

2006-07: Posted season-best times in the 50 freestyle (24.75), 100 freestyle (54.42) and 200 freestyle (1:57.33) at the MAC Championships. Swam the opening leg of UB’s seventh-place finishing 200 freestyle relay (season-best 1:37.58).

2005-06: Turned in season-best times of 24.80 in the 50 freestyle and 1:02.14 in the 100 butterfly at the MAC Championships.

2004-05: Set season-best times in the 50 freestyle (25.07), 100 freestyle (54.57) and 200 freestyle (2:01.13) at the MAC Championships.

High School: Won five letters at East Aurora High School for coach Cheryl Carpenter. Part of the Blue Devils’ record-setting 200 freestyle relay team which finished fourth at the 2003 New York State Championships. Earned All-American recognition as a senior. Also played center on the lacrosse team for four seasons.

Personal: Born February 26, 1986. Daughter of Tim and Kathleen Lafferty. Has one brother (Patrick). Favorite athlete is Mia Hamm. Favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Favorite foods are bread and cheese. Majoring in international business-marketing.
