2006-07: Posted season-best times in the 100 butterfly (59.95) and 200 butterfly (2:20.63) at the MAC Championships. Part of UB’s season-best 200 medley relay squad (1:46.39).
High School: Earned six letters and captained one year for coach Katie Gibson at Eden High School. Holds school records in the 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, 200 free relay and the 100 butterfly. Also part of the girls lacrosse team for the Raiders.
Personal: Born April 1, 1988. Daughter of Scot Eckert and Kimberly Schmitz. Has one brother (Tyler Schmitz) and one sister (Alison Eckert). Favorite athlete is J.J. Redick. Favorite food is chocolate. Favorite movie is Knocked Up. Enjoys reading the gossip magazines. Majoring in speech and hearing science.
