BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo's women's swim team fell to visiting Eastern Michigan, 144-97, Friday afternoon at UB's Alumni Arena Natatorium. The Bulls are now 1-3 overall, 0-3 in Mid-American Conference action, while the Eagles improve to 4-1, 2-1 MAC.

UB sophomore Andrea Lehner (Lockport, NY/Orchard Park) won two individual events and was part of a winning relay team to highlight the Bulls efforts on Friday. Lehner broke the UB record in winning the 500-yard freestyle in 4:56.97, slicing more than a second and a half off the previous mark of 4:57.97 set by Jennefer Brankovsky in 2005. Lehner also won the 200-yard individual medley in a season-best 2:04.13, cutting four seconds off her previous top time.

Koltz also was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.69.

Sophomore Meili Carpenter (Boulder, CO/Fairview) won the one-meter diving competition with a six-dive score of 292.95 points.
